Allison Gregory, a self-taught artist, was born in San
Antonio, Texas, and picked up her first paintbrush at the age of 5. Her
passion and interest in art proved to be integral in her creative process.
This drive and inspiration led her to California for the next 8 years, where
she earned two degrees, graduating with honors in Studio Art and Design.
Two months
after returning to Texas, Allison had her first exhibition. The success of
the show, and the press generated from the event, paved the way for future
opportunities. With the new galleries that were representing her, she was
introduced to collectors from all over the globe, and had a steady stream of
commissions. Her first international show was held in Holland at the age of
25. |
Through
the last decade, Allison has participated in 58 exhibitions to date
(Including major art fairs), while working with prestigious galleries from
all over the world.
She has
been
interviewed on television numerous times, and
has had her work reviewed in magazines, newspapers, and books. Presently,
she is represented in New York and Texas, along with a New England firm that
acquires art for networks like NBC and CBS.
Most
recent commissions in the public art genre include Gibson Guitartown and the
world renowned CowParade. She was recognized as the first artist in
CowParade history, to have been chosen to paint 4 cows in one city.
In the
last 3 years, Allison has also taken on new ventures and side projects .She
works with the ubiquitous, European company Ritzenhoff, who have reproduced
her art on high-end glassware. In addition, she partnered with Bodino,
another European company, that uses her paintings as artistic covers for the
Apple iPad skins, mouse pads, and an upcoming product called the M-2 mouse.
Just this
month, Allison signed a contract with the US company, DecalGirl, who
specializes in the production of custom art for every IT accessory you can
think of... Cell phones, Kindles, Laptops, iPads...
“Persistence is key”, the motto Allison adheres to most, has proven to be
