"MOO-sy in the Sky with Diamonds" : Obviously , my fourth cow is a play on words to the ubiquitous Beatles song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". It is hard to believe it has been 40+ years since the era of the 'Summer of Love', but when we reflect on the 60's it is impossible to not to think of hearts, flowers and smiley faces. I decided to use mostly florescent/neon colors in this cow, to place emphasis on the psychedelic ,groovy patterns and décor, that was indicative of that time. The mixed media composition was created not only using my traditional enamels, but actual gems and diamonds, glitter, confetti, stickers and 3-D foam. |
